Terms of Use
Last updated 30 September 2026
These terms apply to MJX Events (this website, the organizer app, the gate scanner and the seller app), operated by MJX Technologies LLP ("MJX", "we"). By using MJX Events — as an organizer, a ticket buyer, a seller or gate staff — you agree to them.
1. What MJX does
MJX Events is a platform. It lets organizers list events, sell tickets and check guests in. The organizer of each event, not MJX, is the seller of its tickets and is responsible for the event: its content, safety, permissions, timing, entry rules and any cancellation or change.
2. Organizer accounts
- You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account, your scanner PINs and your sellers.
- The one-time sign-up fee opens your account. It is non-refundable (see the Refund Policy).
- To receive online payments you must complete payment onboarding with our payment partner (Razorpay or Zoho Payments, whichever MJX uses at the time), including KYC and bank details, and follow that partner's terms.
- Your events must be lawful and described truthfully, and you must hold every licence and permission they need. You must honour tickets sold for your events.
- You set your own policy for cancelled or changed events and handle any remedy to buyers yourself.
3. Fees and payouts
- Online sales carry the payment gateway fee plus the MJX commission, and GST on both, as shown on our pricing at the time of sale.
- Online payments are collected through our payment partner (Razorpay or Zoho Payments). Your share is transferred to your bank account after each payment; settlement timing follows that partner's schedule.
- Printed tickets sold at a counter are paid to you directly and carry no MJX fee. MJX is not involved in that money.
- We may change our fees for future sales by updating the pricing on this website.
4. Ticket buyers
- A ticket gives entry to the event on the terms set by its organizer. Each QR code admits one person, once.
- Keep your ticket private. Anyone holding the QR code can use it, and a ticket that has been scanned cannot be used again.
- All purchases are final. See the Refund Policy.
- Reselling tickets for profit, copying QR codes or making fake tickets is not allowed; such tickets may be cancelled without refund.
5. Sellers and gate staff
Sellers and gate staff act for the organizer who added them. They may use MJX Events only for that organizer's events and must not share their sign-in codes or PINs.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse MJX Events: no fraud, no unlawful or harmful events, no attempts to break into accounts or systems, no scraping or overloading the service, and no infringing other people's rights. We may suspend or close accounts, stop payouts under investigation, or remove events that break these terms or the law.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload (event text, images). You allow us to host and show it so we can run your event pages, tickets and emails, and to use your public event page link to promote MJX Events.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep MJX Events available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". We are not responsible for the events themselves or for acts of organizers, buyers, sellers or venues. To the extent the law allows, MJX is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees MJX received from you in the three months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use MJX Events means you accept it.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
